Kolkata: It was a stressful morning for both of both students and their parents waiting for ISCE results to come out at 11 am.
There was a rush for the ICSE website when the results were finally declared. Some of those who had registered for their results to be SMSed spent up to an hour waiting.
“I couldn't access the ICSE site which opened after 20 minutes and the SMS I sent was replied to after 40 minutes,” said Arvind Suresh from St James.
A few minutes later Arvind found out that he had scored 92.6 per cent.
Abir Mazumdar was ecstatic after realizing he topped Lycee School in South Kolkata. Abir, who got 97 per cent, scored 99 per cent in computer science. “I was expecting these results,” said the confident student, who had hoped for 100 in maths but “got only 98”.
“My family and friends were expecting more out of me, but I am happy,” he said.
His classmate Sudipto Ranjan Banerjee, got 100 per cent in computer science and an aggregate of 95.8 per cent. “I was expecting to get 90 per cent for sure, but 95.8 per cent came as a delightful shock. My friends and family are on cloud nine!” said Sudipto.
Others said that they had hoped to do better. “I got way less marks in Environmental Science than I expected,” said Ijaz Ahmed from St Xavier’s, who got 95.6 per cent.
