Doubts have been raised by some students over the "marking procedures" of the IITs following the announcement of the JEE results. An aspirant, Pradyot Prakash (17), has lodged a formal complaint with the institutions because he feels the multiple-choice answers provided for two questions were incorrect. "My friends and I believe the IITs have given wrong answers for questions five and seven in physics paper two," said Prakash. "Due to this, we are losing eight marks." Another student too contacted IIT on the issue. The student, who requested anonymity, said his contention was rebuffed and, as substantiation, he was cited the full marks scored by several students.
