With the plus two marks for 2013 just released, Kaavya, student from Rosary Matriculation School, Chennai has secured the overall state first rank obtaining a total of 1192.
Abinayaa of SDAV, Adambakkam and Balaji, Bharathi, MHSS, Kovai shared the second position in the overall section with 1191 marks.
Obtaining 1190, the third rank was shared by five students across the state; Srinivas, Bharathi, MHSS, Kovai; Sainithya, GRT M V HSS, Chennai; Meghna Saravanan, Cluny Mat HSS, Salem; Rajaram, AV Meiyappan MHSS, Virugambakkam, Chennai ; Katheeja Bai, Avila CMHSS, Velandipalayam, Coimbatore.
However, Jayasuriya, Vidyaa Vikas BHSS, Namakkal and Abinesh, Greenpark MHSS shared the first place in the state with Tamil as the second language getting an overall mark of 1189.
Palaniraj, Vidyaa Vikas BHSS, Namakkal and Akalya, Sri Vijay Vidyalaya HSS, Hosur got the second rank obtaining a total mark of 1188 with Tamil as second language.
With 1187 marks, the third rank in this section was obtained by nine students across the state; Rajeshwari of CEOA, Matric HSS, Melur; Kalaivani, Kurinji MHSS, Namakkal; Vishnu Varthan, Greenpark MHSS, Namakkal; Kanmani, Greenpark MHSS, Namakkal; Manothini, Greenpark MHSS, Namakkal; Raveena, S V Mandir MHSS, Uthangarai; Nivedhitha, Zion Matric HSS, Chengalpattu; Pooja S Kumar, Swamy Matric HSS, Porur; Muthumanikandan, Nazareth Matric HSS, Avadi.
This year, the total pass percentage in the state stood shade greater than the previous year with 81.1% percentage, which is actually is about 2% more than the previous year.
The total pass percent among the boys stood at 84.7 % and the pass percentage among girls stood as 91%.
