Education Minister P K Shahi today informed that out of 26.79 lakh candidates who had written the examination in December 2011 and January 2012, altogther 1.47 lakh candidates were today declared as successful in the Bihar Teachers Eligibility Test (TET).
While 60,730 among 21.62 lakh rpt lakh candidates have qualified for the TET for Class I to V teachers, the remaining 87,254 candidates have passed the test for Class VI to VIII, he said at a press conference.
The result of 19,024 TET candidates were pending for various reasons, including some missing Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets.
The TET results have been uploaded on the website 'www.biharboard.net' to enable the candidates to find out the details on the internet.
The state government had conducted the TET to shortlist a pool of eligible candidates for their recruitment as teachers in the primary and secondary schools of the state.
