Chennai: NITTTR under the Ministry of HRD, has planned to tie up with universities in Singapore, Switzerland & US
'To strengthen our programme, we have planned to collaborate with universities in Singapore, Switzerland and US to bring (National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research ) NITTTR's programme on par with international standards in a span of five years', NITTTR Director Dr S Mohan said.
He said that NITTTR was also planning to conduct knowledge exchange programme with other countries for its students here so that they could enhance their skills in their respective subjects.
'We have planned to develop our institute into a deemed university in order to provide effective and efficient services to the teachers of technical and vocational education systems', he added.
Mohan said the Tamil Nadu Government has given a green signal to setup NITTTR branch in Trichirappali at a cost of about Rs six crores. 'Tamil Nadu Government accepted our request and it would be alloting land to us for setting up our branch', he added.
