Hundreds of students and parents attended the second edition of the Education UK Exhibition hosted by the British Council, which was held in the capital on Saturday.
Representatives of prestigious universities attended the expo and gave information about various courses to the students.
"The exhibition provides a platform for the students to find out about the courses available, the fee structure and other details," said L Dhanasekaran, head, education UK (South India). Theparticipants included Manchester Metropolitan University, London Metropolitan University, University of Bedfordshire and Swansea University. "The courses on great demand are MBA, Engineering, Paramedical and Nursing," said Dhanasekaran.
Candidates interested in studying abroad found the exhibition useful. "I could get all the information I needed for the course I was interested in," said Nikita Mathew, a visitor at the expo.
Even students from Kollam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta attended the exhibition. "There are a plenty of students from other districts too, who have made an to come here to weigh their options," said Dhanasekaran Information on the Jubilee Scholarships was also available at the exhibition.
These scholarships will be awarded to 60 Indian students opting for a master's degree in Manufacturing, Science and Technology or Management. The scholarships will cover tuition fee, living expenses, international airfares and the visa fee.
