Global Education - Emerging Avenues

The Oberoi Grand recently witnessed a global education summit organised by Chopras Consultant, a global education corporate. Representatives 0f foriegn Universities from the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore and other countries like Marist College, University of Manchester, Singapore University of Management was present to provide an on the spot lowdown of the courses, facilities and other learning resources.

There was also a registration and counselling desk for the students at the venue. The initial process of getting admission in the university of one’s choice was completed with a call letter from the representatives of the respective universities.

The Senior Manager, eastern operations, Ujjal sarkar said that students from India have always been interested in Universities abroad and hence to make the admission process a lot smoother they have organised this summit with the representatives of renowned universities from all over the world. He further said that the students are broadening their horizon and they at Chopras hope to encourage these students through this summit.

Special discounts on registering for USA / Singapore / Canada / Germany process and on enrollments for GMAT / GRE / SAT / IELTS / TOEFL and other Kaplan preparations are also being offered on the days of the summit.

Kevin Dunn, international officer south and south east Asia of Coventry University, one of the participating universities observed, “UK universities are preferred destinations for Indian students because of the quality of education available and also the prestige associated with the universities there. This summit is an excellent platform to interact with students and provide under one roof all the necessary assistance that they require.”

Neither the Universities nor the students perceive the ongoing global recession as a deterrent factor. Rajneesh Gupta, a student explained, “I have always wanted to pursue a management course abroad because of the global exposure. This summit will provide me with all the information that I need. Educational loans can be obtained quite easily and with our parents also supporting us it will be just a matter of time before I start repaying the loans.”
