Sri R N Singh Memorial High School organised the annual concert of the junior section of the school last week at Kalamandir. Parambrata Chattopadhyay, actor and director, was the chief guest at the show.
The show began with the performance of a prayer by the choir. It was followed by the rendition of action songs by the students of lower infant and a dance show by the upper infant classes. The action song ‘mummy darling, papa darling’ received a huge round of applause from the audience. The English drama ‘The Selfish Giant’ also drew tremendous applause.
The annual report of the school was presented during the programme. The annual report included the success story of the students; academics as well as co-curricular achievements were announced on stage. The chief guest felicitated the winners. The annual report highlighted the various clubs of the school and the programmes that they conduct for the wholistic development of the students. It also spoke about the achievements of the students at inter-school competitions.
Speaking on the occasion, Chattopadhyay said,”It is always an honour to come to an educational institute of such repute. It takes me back to my school life, which was the best part of my life. I would like to tell all the students to cherish the best moments of your life here. This is the time that grooms you and prepares you for the future.” The programme was concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
