Fest Front

Updated on: Thursday, September 08, 2011

Recently held fest, ELIXIR 2011, by B P Poddar Institute of Management and Technology brought the power of music to life with its main attraction ‘Jal’ – the internationally acclaimed Pakistani band. Their presence in the city not only drew a huge crowd but also brought together two nations, which share centuries of culture and legacy. The art of music transcended all boundaries and unified every soul highlighting the theme of the show – ‘Aman Ka Paigam’, which has been inspired from ‘Aman Ki Asha’ – the brainchild of The Times of India.

Along with Jal, the fest pro-nite was glorified with the musical presence of one of the pioneers of the Bangla Rock Movement and Kolkata’s most passionately followed band, ‘Fossils’, led by the national ward winner lead vocalist, Rupam Islam.

These pro-nite performers will showcase unplugged, uninterrupted and back-to-back entertainment.
The pro-nite was preceded by an inter-college fashion competition—‘Fashionista’. Culture and character, attitude and apparel, beautiful divas and stylish clothes all combined to form an enthralling evening.

Every year ‘ELIXIR’ comes up with something unique, which conveys a message to everyone. Keeping up with their tradition, this year’s celebrations not only hosted competent events but also showcased a moral gesture by ELIXIR, to encourage some special kids.
