An interactive seminar and exhibition-cum-placement on Interior Designing and Draughtsman was presented by Srimati National Techno at Nehru Children’s Museum. Spread over two days, February 4 and 5, it saw 26 promising students from the the Civil and Mechanical section along with 24 creative students from the Interior Designing branch showcase their creations at “Thinking 2K10”.

 

A display of the year long toil of the students and faculty members, the products of the civil section created space for living, business, office and residence. The Interior Designing section too put up an impressive collection.

 

Inaugurated by Bandana De, former deputy director, state education department, it also saw Subir Basu architect of Archaeological Society, Gopal Kr Bhattacharya, director and principal, West Bengal Fire and Emergency Service among others brace the occasion.

 

Philips, Berger Paints along with manufacturers of Plywood, Cement, TMT Bars, Flooring(Marble/ Tiles/ Wood and other contemporary items), Glass, Sanitary, Kitchenware were also present to share their expertise.

 

“It is a platform for students to focus their thoughts and apply them in a practical way. It is designed to help them and ensure that they become professionals in their respective field,” said BN Pati, principal of Srimati National Techno.
