Sainik School celebrates golden jubilee

The golden jubilee celebrations of Sainik School at Kazhakootam near here began this morning with K Madhavan Nair, seniormost master of the school lighting the lamp at a function here.
The colourful function was attended by parents, old boys, retired and present staff and cadets of the school. Principal Captain B Janarardhanan welcomed the gathering.
  
Registrar Lt Conlonel M C Thomas proposed vote of thanks.
 
An year-long celebration programme comprising All Kerala Cycle Expedition, relay of Golden Jubilee flame to tbe four corners of India, a documentary on the Sainik School and various cultural and social events have been planned, a press release here said.
