The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) will be organising the tenth ICSI National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance at the SCOPE Convention Centre.
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be the Chief Guest of the function. Former Chief Justice of India and Chairman of the Award Jury, Justice R.C. Lahoti, will also grace the occasion as Guest of Honour.
The award will be presented to two best governed companies whose Company Secretaries will also be felicitated. Certificate of recognition will be presented to other top five companies.
The award comprising of a citation and trophy, is based on the outcome of concerted and comprehensive process of evaluation which enables the Award Jury to judge the practices of corporate governance as followed by Indian corporates and to acknowledge the best practices in the business.
N K Jain, Secretary and CEO, ICSI says, “The ICSI is committed to promoting good corporate governance and has played a pivotal role in creating awareness on various issues impinging upon corporate governance.”
