There is the time on line education is gaining momentum. National Institute of Technology are trying to reinvert the physical class room. The NIT has launched a study to understand the emotions of students while they are in the class room.

This will be helpful to improve the Teacher. Student interact. It is proposed to develop a algorithm to analyse video recording of students in class to understand their level of interact and emotions. The reasons for the boredom may be the profession, the topic or even the time of the day. The Institute will received upto $250,000 or rs.1.5 crore for the study order the Obira singh 21^st century knowledge Initiative Award with partnership with University of Neveda. The project is cognitive based curriculum Development Tool for emerging areas of Computer Learning process. They are listing and classifying emotions and the levels of each emotions.

A mesh model of human face will be used to record and measure different emotion. As such the map of mouth is completed. Other parts of the face which will be mapped are nose, cheeks, chin and fore head.

Based on the length and width of the mouth, one can tell if an individual is happy if sad or surprised.

The algorithm will be helpful to study the changes in facial expressions.

Geometric experts used to measure changes in expressions. The measurement will be with respect to neutral face.
