Kallar Kudi tribal settlement in Valparai has a primary school with only one teacher and only one student. The student is in class Second and we should appreciate the teacher Kalaiselvi who is brave enough to travel through dangerous forest facing the fear from elephants to leach bites. Reaching the school in time itself is an adventure for her. The head mister of the school Mr. Ruruganandam and the teacher Kalaiselvi were living 2.5 Km from the school and they have to reach the school only by walk. It is worth to state, the local tribals are helping the HM and the teacher to reach the school almost daily. As stated by the teacher, that they must be more careful to tiny bugs like creatures than huge elephants. The strength of school diminished because the tribals migrated to plains.
