Aerospace engineers, members of industry and academia would converge here on November 24 and 25 to deliberate on contemporary issues in aerospace technologies.
The 26th national convention of aerospace engineers and national seminar on 'Expanding Frontiers in Aerospace Technologies Challenges and Opportunities' is being organised by Aerospace Engineering Division Board of Institution of Engineers (India), Andhra Pradesh State Centre.
The conference will be inaugurated by V K Saraswat, Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister, a release said.
It quoted Avinash Chander, Chief Controller, R&D (Missiles and Strategic System) and a distinguished scientist at DRDO as saying that an active synergic approach is needed to harness the indigenous technology available to take the country to greater heights in the fields of aerospace technology.
Cyber and space warfare are the emerging areas, he said.
The conference would be a platform for academicians, engineers, industrialists and students to exchange their views and concepts. The event would also open a window of opportunity for mutual benefit, he said.
A number of important lectures on contemporary themes, including Vikram Sarabhai Memorial lecture, would be presented during the conference, the release added.
