History department function at Sir Theagaraya college

The Post-Graduate & Research wing of History Department, Sir Theagaraya College, Chennai, organized its department function on 13 February, 2012.

Speaking at the function, the Chief Guest, Prof. S. Krishnasamy, Associate Professor, P.G & Research Department of Historical Studies, Pachaiyappas College, Chennai, emphasized the role of Theagaraya family in promoting the cause of education in North Chennai. Referring various types of historical narratives, he highlighted the places of historical importance such as Vyasarpadi, Tondiarpet and Washermenpet in North Chennai.
                                  
He emphasized the students to maintain character and discipline that would pave way for their personal progress underscoring the need for academic excellence and the soft skills.

The Principal, in his Presidential address expressed his gratitude for all the managements support and wished students the very best in examinations and life.
