Ramnarain Ruia College concluded its five-day cultural extravaganza in the form of an intra and inter-collegiate fest on December 24. The inter-college fest Aarohan was held on December 20-21 and Utsav, the intra-college fest, was held from December 22-24. Aarohan paid tribute to Woodstock, the 60s art and music festival while Utsav was based on the theme ‘Melting Pot’.
Both the festivals witnessed a good dose of music, fun and celebrities. The highlight of the festival was the visit by the cast of Chaalis Chaurasi including Atul Kulkarni, KK Menon, Ravi Kishan and Sachin Awasthee, the producer of the film. The cast interacted with the crowd and a few lucky students, selected via an online contest, got to meet the stars in person. Piyush Panchal, the choreographer for the film, judged the inter-team dance, one of the most awaited events of the fest. The musical events were judged by the musical genius Shahid Mallya.
The festival ended with a bang with the Pro-Nite dance which was held on the evening of December 24 following the Treasure Hunt, canvass painting and personality contest. Like always, this year too, Aarohan and Utsav saw an amazing turnout and brought forth a good medley of talent, hard work, fun and enthusiasm.
