School notes from Hyderabad

Lokesh J Pandya, Std. VIIstudent of All Saints' won thefirst prize in the Hyderabad District-Level Jawaharlal Nehru National Science Exhibition 2011. His project highlighted that by using energy efficient lighting system, one can save up to 80 per cent electrical energy. His project was selected for the State Level Science Exhibition.

Sri Chaitanya Techno School S.R.Nagar recalled the contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujam on the eve of his birth anniversary. Mrs.Satya Sree Gupta, Central Resource Person in Math, was the chief guest. Mr. Valli Kumar, zonal in-charge of Sri Chaitanya, Mrs. Usha Devi, principal of S.R.Nagar branch, Mr.Naresh and Mrs. Anitha dean and primary in-charge of the branch participated.

Jubilee Hills Education Society celebrated its Silver Jubilee this year. Sri M.T.Krishna Babu, IAS, Commissioner, (GHMC) was the chief guest. Principal M.Varalakshmi welcomed the gathering and presented the school's annual report. Chairman Sri A. Murali Mukund too was present.

Learnium School celebrated its Annual Sports Day - 2011 recently. There was a flower drill by seniors and “Circle of Life Drill” by Pre Primary students. The overall championship was bagged by the Sapphire House.
