Impressive show at Shastra -2011

Over 100 students from 15 degree colleges participated in ‘Shastra-2011' organised by the students of city-based V.S. Lakshmi Degree College for Women. Events like quiz, seminar, poster presentation, puzzles based on basic sciences like mathematics, physics and chemistry were conducted on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, principal V. Sandhya said that the college was hosting the festival for the sixth consecutive year to increase interest towards sciences among the students. Expressing happiness over the response to the event, she congratulated the winners of the competitions.
Physics fete

At Aditya Degree College, physics festival ‘Spice-2011' was celebrated on the grand scale. An exhibition was conducted on the occasion covering topics such as Big Bang theory, Einstein theory and geothermal innovations. Principal of Aditya Degree College for Women K. Karuna, Vice-principal A. Mani Prakash and others were present.
Green campaign

Volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) from Aditya Engineering College created awareness among the importance of greenery at Subhadrampeta village. As part of camp, the students conducted a door-to-door campaign on greenery and distributed saplings to the residents. College principal A.B. Srinivasa Rao lauded the students.
Campus placements

As many as 20 students of V.S. Lakshmi Degree College secured placements during the off-campus interviews conducted by the Wipro. Over 500 students from various college participated in the interviews. College correspondent V. Sitarama Raju congratulated the students for their achievement.
