Four students arrested for ragging

Four students of Sai University near here have been arrested for ragging and they are likely to be expelled from the varsity soon, officials said.
 
According to police, IInd year B.Tech students Anchal and Vinay, IInd year in diploma in technology students Abhishek and Shanti Bhushan and Gaurav, who is not a student of the university, forced Arun Katoch, a 1st year student of BBA, to accompany them to the university canteen and ragged him.
 
The matter was reported by Katoch's family to police who immediately arrested Gaurav, Anchal, Vinay and Abhishek under sections 140, 152, 323 and 506 of IPC and section 3 of the Anti-Ragging Act. Shanti Bhushan is absconding.
 
Registrar of Sai University A K Gupta said action will be initiated against the erring students and they are being expelled from the varsity.
