HC direction to revenue and police officials

Madurai Bench of the Madras High court ordered revenue officials and police not to interfere with the functioning of a private college offering course in safety management at Melur in Sathyamanaglam in Pudukottai district.
  
Justice R.Sudhakar said the Tahsildhar had sealed the college based on oral complaint given through phone.
 
"It is not proper action. The college has been sealed in violation of rules.The revenue and police officials should not interfere with the functioning of the college," the judge said.
 
The petitioner, Muruganandham, Correspondent (administrator) of the college, submitted that the Kulathur Tahsildhar had asked the Police to seal the college following oral complaint that proper fee receipt was not given to the students, and that the college did not have proper affiliation.
 
Muruganadhan said they secured proper permission and affiliation from the Karaikudi Alagappa college, Coimbatore Anna University,and Directorate of Employment,and the college was functioning successfully.The petitioner urged the court to direct police and revenue officials not to interfere with the functioning of the college.
