HPU to set up centre for Gandhian studies

To learn about the Gandhian philosophy, his teachings and promote research works on Gandhi, a centre for Gandhian studies would be established at the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), announced VC of HPU A D N Bajpai, while he was delivering a special lecture organized for the first time in the campus by the university, on the 143rd birth anniversary of the leader.

He added: "Time has come to adopt and imbibe the written work of Gandhian philosophy by students, research scholars, teachers, as the nation is passing through a sensitive face of uncertainty." Bajpai announced that the centre would function under the supervision of Suresh Kumar of the HPU as its honorary director.
