Over 1,000 seasonal schools to be set up in JK for nomads

To cater to educational needs of nomadic population of Jammu and Kashmir, over 1,000 seasonal schools will be set up in the state soon.

"The Centre has allowed opening of 1,007 seasonal schools in the state to cater to the requirement of nomadic students," Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed informed the Legislative Council.
  
He said the state has requested the Centre to sanction mobile schools in place of the seasonal ones.
  
The minister said at present there are 263 schools for nomadic population in Jammu pision. While 88 of them are mobile, 175 are stationary.
