Chennai academician gets top US printing industry award

Chennai-based academician Rajendrakumar Anayath has been honoured with a prestigious award by a top printing industry body in the US in recognition of his contribution to the field of media education.
 
The 'Education Award of Excellence' is considered as an Oscar of printing in the US and Anayath is the first person outside the US to have won it.
 
Anayath is the head of Print Media Academy, Heidelberg India in Chennai. He was formerly with the Manipal Print Media Academy as its head.
 
The award was instituted by the Printing Industries of America (PIA) in 1984.
