IIMC centre: Team to submit report in a week

The central delegation which visited the proposed site for Indian Institute of Mass Communication centre at Vadavathur near here will submit its report to the ministry of information and Broadcasting in a week.
 
The centre requires 10 to 12 acres of land for construction of the complex including academic buildings, administrative blocks, classrooms and hostel for students and staff.
 
The delegation led by IIMC director general Sunit Tandon visited the 4.2 acre site at Vijayapuram Panchayat here.
 
Jose K Mani M P, who held talks with the delegation, said the possibility of commencing courses from the next academic year would be considered depending on the availability of space for hostel and administrative office on rent.
 
The delgation included Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, joint secreatary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, M Nandakumar, director, Information and Public Relations and district collector Mini Antony.
