Dentists' protests in MP over lack of employment

Unemployed BDS doctors staged a demonstration here in front of the house of Madhya Pradesh Health Minister, Narottam Mishra, alleging that state government was going back on its promise of recruiting them.
   
The BDS graduates in the state were facing an acute unemployment problem as state government had not advertised any vacancy for the post of government dental surgeons in the last 21 years, said Indian Dental Association's MP Chapter's president, Dr Saurabh Dixit.
   
The association staged the demonstration at the Health Minister's residence the minister was away and warned that if their demands were not met, it would intensify the agitation.
   
Every year 650 dental surgeons pass out from the state colleges, according to the association.
