With the liberalisation of the Indian economy, it has become evident that the Government alone cannot bear the cost of the education sector. While the private sector has stepped-in, bridged the gap and increasingly enhanced its profile in education, its role still has to be defined in a certain direction. Its important today to promote University-Industry interface and also strengthen Teaching and Research. Hence, the Corporate sector together with Govt. is needed to move in synchronization to invest and bridge the demand-supply gap in higher education. This day-long event will have a session on “Strengthening PPP initiatives at “Tertiary Level” to find out the corporate sector view on investing in higher education and the expectations from the government and academia. The key findings will definitely be useful for all.
