Time management imperative for students

Tiruchi: To obtain good scores in the board exams, it is vital for the students to manage their time in the most efficient manner, said A. V. Krishnan, Executive Director of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi, on Saturday.
Speaking at a function organised by the Rotary Club of BHEL City, Tiruchi, to honour this year's toppers in the X Standard and Plus Two public examinations of 15 schools in and around BHEL Township, said that it was essential that school students should make special efforts to balance their time every day and devote time for studies and other development activities.

Mr.Krishnan pointed out that students should also know about outside world besides concentrating on their studies. He distributed prizes including cups and books to the toppers.

In all, 83 toppers (nine from CBSE X Standard, three from CBSE XII Standard, 31 from State Board X Standard (SSLC), seven from Matriculation X Standard and 33 from State Board Plus Two (XII Standard) from 15 schools in and around BHEL Township viz. R.S. Krishnan HSS, BHEL Matriculation HSS, Boiler Plant Boys HSS, Boiler Plant Girls HSS, Infant Jesus Girls HSS, Mukkulathore HSS, Government HSS, Thuvakudi, ARK Vidhyajothi Vikhas Matriculation HSS, Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Girls HSS, Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Boys HSS, St. Little Flower High School, Kattur, St. Joseph's High School, Ayyampatti, Montfort School, Kattur, St. Antony's High School, Kattur and St. Mary's High School, Pathalapettai, received prizes at the function. V. Pugazhenthi, secretary of the Rotary Club of BHEL City, also spoke.
