IIT Kharagpur to set up science park at Rajarhat

IIT, Kharagpur would set up a science park at Rajarhat at a cost of Rs 350 crore.
 
Briefing reporters here, Director Damodar Acharya added the park would come up on 10 acres of land.
    
He said an advanced research centre would also come up for cutting edge innovation-driven research at par with international standards.
   
The institute is also proposing to set up a 750-bed tertiary care hospital to be built at a cost of Rs 775 crore inside the campus.
 
The premier institute is also contemplating imparting medical degrees to students for which there is a need to change the IIT Act, he said.
