United States would be keen to develop and strengthen relations with India at the institutional levels in the days to come, an expert on governmental affairs from the country said.

"US is keen on strengthening the relations on the cultural front, in tourism, infrastructure and other areas and also in the field of education," United States Special Representative on Global Inter-Governmental Affairs, Reta Jo Lewis, said here.

There were sufficient opportunities for the Indian students to pursue education in the US universities and an estimated 1.5 lakh Indian students were pursuing higher education there, while about 3,000 American students were studying in India, she said.

However, she could not give details as to how many more US companies are coming to Multi Modal International Cargo and Passenger Hub in Nagpur, where aircraft major Boeing is setting up a Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) facility.
