CBSE to accredit affiliated schools

The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to accredit affiliated schools once in every three years, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.

 

The accreditation will be done in the areas of academic processes and outcomes and in the field of infrastructure such as adequacy, functionality and aesthetics, Minister of State for HRD D Purandeswari said in Rajya Sabha.

In a written reply, she said, "Accreditation would help set benchmarks in the identified areas".  The accreditation would also cover co-scholastic processes and outcomes, human resources, management and administration, leadership and beneficiary satisfaction.
