Minister suggests students to read

Reading habit will drive out depression of any student, Jharkhand HRD Minister Baijnath Ram said.
     
Apart from going to schools, Ram said, students should read at home every day so that they would be better prepared examinations and avoid post-result related depression.
     
He was replying to a query at a press conference on the alleged increase of suicides by students in Jharkhand following poor results this year.
     
The state government had to announce grace marks between three and five per cent following 28 per cent pass results in this years intermediate examinations.
      
The minister made it clear that decision to give grace marks this year was a one-time relaxation and would not be effective in future.
