Irish teachers train in English

A group of teachers from Ireland are in Uttarakhand to train teachers here in English language.
 
The team comprising senior teachers and headmasters are training the a group of teachers here in reading, spoken English, reciting poems and other skills in English language.
 
"Our teachers are having a healthy interactive sessions to upgrade the teaching methods and to device ways to hold the attention of the learners and make it a joyful occasion which is the basic ingredient of the teaching skill," said Avadash Kuashal, Chairperson of the Rural Litigation and Entitlement Kendra (RLEK), a Dehra Dun-based NGO which is carrying out the programme.
 
"It is a humble effort to keep the standard of education high for our children," added Kaushal, a Padamshree awardee.
 
This is the seventh visit of the Irish teachers to Uttarakhand during which they usually take class of nearly 60 teachers, who are teaching underprivileged children.
