Committee to investigate complaints on Engineering colleges

A committee has been formed by the Tamilnadu government to investigate complaints regarding excess fee collections of self-financing engineering colleges.

The committee comprises of 3 members, chaired by Anna university professor V.Jeyabalan and will function from the campus of Directorate of Technical Education, Tamilnadu.

Parents and students can lodge complaint against engineering colleges, which collect excessive fees than fixed by Tamilnadu government, in person or through e-mail.

Self-financing engineering colleges should not collect Rs.20,000 as tuition fee from first generation students.

Complainants need not fear about the adverse effects as details of the complainants will be kept confidential.
