Web service to ensure kids attend school properly

A group of techies here have come up with a web-based service to inform parents to ensure their children reach school and attend classes regularly.
   
The service, titled "Gurusparsh" developed by the start start-upfirm  "Thought Ripple", will be offered free of cost to schools which are interested in utilising it.
   
The web application service could be used by teachers who had registered in it to issue SMS alerts to parents in case their children were found absent in classes, Deepak C George, MD Thought Ripples told a press meet.
   
This sort of a service was designed in view of increase in cases of children skipping classes with the parents being in the dark about it, he said.
   
Schools in Kerala are coming forward to use the facility, he said.
