CM Inaugurates buildings, lays foundations for TNAU buildings

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa inaugurated various buildings and laid foundation stones for several others at a cost of Rs 6.37 crore at campuses of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University across the State.
  
Jayalalithaa, through video-conferencing from Chennai, laid foundation stone of Rs 62 lakh office building and laboratory complex for department of Vegetable crops in Orchard, non teaching staff quarters at a cost of Rs 125 crore, extension Press Building valued at Rs.12 lakh, Rs 45 lakh office building.
 
Others included a Biofuel workshop building for Department of Bio Fuels at a cost of Rs.25 lakh (all in Coimbatore), staff quarters at Yethapur at a cost of Rs.10 lakh and Rs 10 lakh Seed Storage Godown at Aliyarnagar, totally valued at Rs 2.89 crore.
  
She also inaugurated various buildings at Arupukottai, Vamban, Pudukottai, Solid Waste management Research Institute in Thanjavur, Vermi composting Technolgoy Knowledge Centre, lab building for seed technology and Farm office cum Godown for
Millet breeding Station (ll in Coimbatore), godown and vehicle shed at  Veeppanthattai and Ladies hostel at Agri Research Station, Kovilpatti, all worth Rs 3.48 crore.
 
Funds for these buildings were allocated by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Delhi, National Agriculture Deveopment Programme and under TNAU Schemes.
