AIADMK flays MCI for its decision on CET

Updated on: Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Opposition AIADMK has criticised the decision of Medical Council of India to hold Common Entrance Test (CET) for admissions to medical colleges across the country in the 2012-13 academic year.

Party's local unit secretary A Anbalagan told newsmen here today that MCI`s announcement for a CET to undergraduate medical courses would hit poor students, particularly those hailing from rural areas.

He wanted to know what stand Chief Minister N Rangasamy has taken on the issue and said he should explain the government's reaction to the injurious decision of MCI.
