TNAU bags ICAR institution award

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has been awarded the Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award for the year 2010.
   
The award, instituted by Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), was received by TNAU vice-chancellor, Dr Muruges Bhoopathi from union Agriculture and Food Processing minister, Sharad Pawar at  Delhi on July 16.
   
The award carries a shield, a citation and a cheque for Rs 5 lakh, a TNAU press release said here.
