Three days after the police busted a cash-for-test-clearing racket, another leader of unemployed elementary teachers training (ETT) union was arrested on Tuesday.

ETT union state general secretary Harpreet Singh was apprehended for allegedly duping unemployed youths to the tune of Rs 2 to 3 lakh on the pretext of helping them clear the teacher eligibility test (TET).

Earlier, cops had arrested union's state vice president Pawan Kumar for defrauding over 20 jobless youngsters and recovered Rs 40.49 lakh from his Sangrur residence.

Clearing this test was made mandatory under Right to Education (RTE) Act.
