Andhra Pradesh to get one more Sainik School

The Defence Ministry has approved setting up of a new Sainik School at Kalikiri village in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, a press release from the Chief Minister's office said.
   
It would be the second Sainik School in the state after the one at Korukonda in Vizianagaram district, and the seventh in the country.
   
The School would be set up on a 50-acre site at a cost of Rs 50 crore and will accommodate 150 cadets and staff, the release said.
   
Incidentally, Kalikiri is the native village of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
