MSME institute to offer courses in auto technology

Chennai: In a bid to enhance the skill of educated youth, the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, under the Ministry of MSME, has proposed to launch a slew of initiatives.

As a first step, a three-month course in automobile technology would be launched, institute Director S Sivagnanam told reporters here.

Those who have completed class eight were eligible to apply for the Certificate in Automobile Technology and Advanced Certificate in Automobile Technology courses, he said adding each batch would comprise 20 students.

The institute would also produce a television programme about its schemes which was likely to be aired by the first week of September, he siad.

As part of tapping the entrepreneurial skills in individuals, the institute would launch an 'E-learning in Entrepreneurship programme'.
