Tripura Medical College CET venue shifted

The Tripura government has shifted the venue of Common Entrance Test (CET) of Tripura Medical College here after the opposition Congress threatened to stop the examination on the plea that it was illegal.
 
The Director General of Police, Saleem Ali said, the venue was shifted from college to Maharaja Bir Bikram College with proper security provided.
 
Leader of the Opposition Ratan Lal Nath said his party demanded that 85 seats of the total 100 seats should be filled up on the basis of the state joint entrance test and the remaining 15 kept reserved for central pool of the Tripura Medical College.
 
Last evening Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty and Finance Minister Badal Chowdhury held a meeting with a Congress delegation led by Nath and requested them to cooperate in running the CET.
 
The state government wanted to fill up 55 seats from the merit list of the Joint Entrance Test, reserve 15 seats for the central pool and fill up 30 seats by CET
