BU signs MoU with Mexican Research Centre

Bharathiar University and Mexico-based Centre for Research and Advanced Studies signed a MoU to facilitate faculty and students exchange programme between the institutions to perform their project and research works.
 
Since the Mexican centre, known as Cinvestav, was a public institution, wholly supported by Federal Government of Mexiso, there was no need for payment ot tuition fees and students will be supported with scholarship for living expenses, a BU release said.
 
There is the possibility of offering DUAL Degree (Phd Only) programe at a later stage, since Cinvestav conducts various dual degree programmes with leading universities in Europe and USA.
 
It was possible to create a common fund by involving both the institutions and invite joint proposals from professors of BU and Cinvestav to apply for this fund for mobility purpose.
 
All the programmes are approved by the National Council of Science and Technology.
 
The MOU was signed by BU Vice-Chancellor, Dr C Swaminathan and Dr Jose Pablo Rene Asomoza Y Palicio, Director General, Cinvestav by which Professors, Masters Degree Students and research Scholars would be exchanged between the Institutions, to perform their project and research works.
