355 'model schools' to come up in AP

Andhra Pradesh Minister For Stamps and Registration T Narashimam said 355 'model schools' will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 1072 crore in the state.
 
These schools will come up in the backward areas, he said.
 
Narashimam was speaking after laying the foundation for a Rs 3-crore model school at Shankavaram here.
 
Both the Central and State Governments were concentrating on school education in backward areas to eradicate illiteracy from the country, he added.
