Himachal University introduces reservation for handicapped

The Himachal Pradesh University introduced three per cent reservations for handicapped persons in both teaching and non teaching staff.

In a meeting of the Executive Council headed by the V-C, the university also decided to bring in certain changes in the examination pattern. Reducing the duration of the examinations and declaration of results within a stipulated time frame are the couple of changes on the cards.

The EC decided to finish the admission process in the colleges this year by June 30. The new Vice Chancellor ADN Bajpai also mooted the idea of formation of an alumni association.
