Madras School of Social Work starts two new courses

Madras School of Social work is starting two new Academic Programs -- M.A in NGO Management and M.A in Human Resource and Organization Development. Approved by the University of Madras, the courses will start from this academic year 2011-12. M.A. in NGO Management will focus on giving necessary inputs and training in setting up NGOs and framing goals.

The course will teach understanding of the organizational framework of NGOs, supervision and planning of human resources, project management, finance, marketing, networking, and guidelines on policies and programs of the organizations. M.A. in Human resource and Organizational Development will give students a basic understanding of the theory, practice, principles, concepts, and language of organization development. It will enable an understanding of techniques, strategies, models, methods, processes, complexities, paradoxes, and conventions of practice used in an organization. Students with a Bachelor's Degree, in any discipline, of a minimum of three years duration or its equivalent are eligible for admissions in both the courses.
