DU VC calls upon JK Governor, discusses exchange visits

Vice Chancellor of Delhi University Professor Dinesh Singh called upon Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra at Raj Bhavan here and discussed possibilities of exchange visits and lectures by faculty members with the universities in the state.

The Governor, who is also the Chancellor of the five universities in the state, exchanged views with Singh regarding various major issues relating to higher education yesterday, an official communique said.

"The Governor also discussed with Singh the possibilities of the Delhi University and the Universities in Jammu and Kashmir arriving at arrangements for exchange visits
and lectures by faculty members of the collaborating universities," it said.

Singh is scheduled to deliver lectures at the University of Kashmir and the Islamic University of Science and Technology here.
