The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), an educational initiative by the Securities and Exchange Board, has roped in ICICI Bank to offer a specialised post graduate certificate programme in securities markets.

The agreement was signed by the two organisations at a function attended by Sebi chairman UK Sinha, who is also the chairman of the board of governors of NISM, and ICICI Bank Chief Executive and Managing Director Chanda Kochhar here.

Speaking on the occasion, Sinha said, "We want to create integrated professional programmes that will be instrumental in providing functional skills to improve the quality of securities market professionals, as well as help inpiduals in their career and overall growth."

Aimed at experienced professionals, the PG course is a one-year specialised and integrated programme.

Those who clear the course would be placed in the treasury and investment functions within the ICICI Group companies, Kochhar said.
