Teachers should work with humanitarian touch

Teachers should work with dedication and humanitarian touch and provide quality education to students, said Collector Darez Ahmed, here on Wednesday.

Addressing a meeting of headmasters of schools in the district on reviewing the development of education in the district, the Collector said that the district had achieved good pass percentage in the SSLC and Plus Two examination this year and urged the headmasters and teachers to work towards achieving cent per cent pass.

The Collector pointed out that the district occupied the fifth rank in the State in the SSLC and Plus Two examination in the Tamil medium of instruction. Teachers should help students get good marks, particularly in subjects in which they are vulnerable.

Mr. Darez Ahmed discussed the implementation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme. Rajan, Chief Educational Officer; Srinivasan, Chief Educational Officer, SSA scheme, and other officials attended the meeting.
