Congnizant signs agreement with MIT Centre

IT company Cognizant said it has signed a three year agreement with MIT Centre for Digital Business to fund research on new technologies in the CIME sector.
   
"The three-year agreement with MIT Centre for Digital Business to fund research on the impacts of new technologies in the communications, information, media, and entertainment industries (CIME)", a company statement here said.
   
The research programme would focus on "Trends in technology, work and Leadership Development in the CIME sector", it said.
   
Principal Research Scientist Andrew McAfee is the principal investigator of the research team along with MIT Centre for Digital Business Director Erik Brynjolfsson.
   
"Our work with MIT will help our CIME clients understand the emerging social workplace by providing frameworks and insights to address these new competitive challenges," Cognizant President and CEO Francisco D'Souza said.
   
Cognizant currently has over 50 delivery centres and has over one lakh employees as of March 2011.
